Gamma-ray energies and intensities observed in decay chain //

    M. Šefčík🇨🇿 · D. Vénos🇨🇿 · O. Lebeda🇨🇿 · C. Noll · J. Ráliš🇨🇿

Radioactive sources of the monoenergetic low-energy conversion electrons from the decay of isomeric are frequently used in the systematic measurements, particularly in the neutrino mass and dark matter experiments. For this purpose, the isomer is obtained by the decay of its parent radionuclide . In order to get more precise data on the gamma-rays occuring in the / chain, we re-measured the relevant gamma-ray spectra, because the previous measurement took place in 1976. The obtained intensities are in fair agreement with this previous measurement. We have, however, improved the uncertainties by a factor of 4.3, identified a new gamma transition and determined more precisely energies of weaker gamma transitions.

Model-independent Odderon results based on TOTEM data on elastic proton-proton scattering at 8 TeV

    T. Csörgő ((1) and (2))🇭🇺 · T. Novák (2)🇭🇺 · R. Pasechnik (3)🇸🇪 · A. Ster (1)🇭🇺 · I. Szanyi (1, 2 and 4) ((1) Wigner RCP, Budapest, Hungary, (2) MATE Institute of Technology KRC, Gyöngyös, Hungary, (3) University of Lund, Lund, Sweden and (4) Eötvös University, Budapest, Hungary)🇭🇺

We complete the model-independent analysis of the scaling properties of the differential cross section of elastic proton-proton cross sections, including new TOTEM data published in 2022 at TeV. We separate the signal and the background region with a new gating method. In the signal region, we find that the statistical significance of Odderon exchange from the combined 7.0 and 8.0 TeV data of TOTEM and the 1.96 TeV data of D0 is at least 7.32. In the background region, the scaling functions of elastic proton-proton data at 7 and 8 TeV and that of elastic proton-antiproton scattering data at 1.96 TeV agree with a statistical significance not larger than 1.93.

Ambient Dose and Dose Rate Measurement in SNOLAB Underground Laboratory at Sudbury, Ontario, Canada

    Victor V. Golovko · Oleg Kamaev🇨🇦 · Jiansheng Sun🇨🇳 · Chris J. Jillings🇨🇦 · Pierre Gorel🇨🇦 · Eric Vazquez-Jauregui🇲🇽

The paper describes a system and experimental procedure that use integrating passive detectors, such as thermoluminescent dosimeters (TLDs), for the measurement of ultra-low-level ambient dose equivalent rate values at the underground SNOLAB facility located in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Because these detectors are passive and can be exposed for relatively long periods of time, they can provide better sensitivity for measuring ultra-low activity levels. The final characterization of ultra-low-level ambient dose around water shielding for ongoing direct dark matter search experiments in Cube Hall at SNOLAB underground laboratory is given. The conclusion is that TLDs provide reliable results in the measurement of the ultra-low-level environmental radiation background.

Correlations Between Neutrinoless Double-Beta, Double Gamow-Teller and Double-Magnetic Decays in the pnQRPA Framework

    Lotta Jokiniemi🇨🇦 · Javier Menéndez🇪🇸

We explore the relation between the nuclear matrix elements of neutrinoless double-beta () decay and two other processes: double Gamow-Teller (DGT) and double-magnetic dipole (M1M1) transitions, with focus on medium-mass to heavy nuclei studied with the proton-neutron quasiparticle random-phase approximation (pnQRPA) framework. We explore a wide span of isoscalar proton-neutron pairing strengths covering the typical range of values that describe well - and two-neutrino -decay data. Our results indicate good linear correlations between and both DGT and M1M1 matrix elements. Together with future measurements of DGT and M1M1 transitions, these correlations could help constrain the values of the -decay nuclear matrix elements.
