    Effects of resonance weak decays and hadronic re-scattering on the proton number fluctuations in Au + Au collisions at GeV from JAM model

    Proton number fluctuation is sensitive observable to search for the QCD critical point in heavy-ion collisions. In this paper, we studied rapidity acceptance dependence of the proton cumulants and correlation functions in most central Au+Au collisions at GeV from a microscopic hadronic transport model (JAM). At mid-rapidity, we found the effects of resonance weak decays and hadronic re-scattering on the proton cumulants and correlation functions are small, but those effects get larger when further increasing the rapidity acceptance. On the other hand, we found the baryon number conservation is a dominant background effect on the rapidity acceptance dependence of proton number fluctuations. It leads to a strong suppression of cumulants and cumulant ratios, as well as the negative proton correlation functions. We also studied those two effects on the energy dependence of cumulant ratios of net-proton distributions in most central Au+Au collisions at GeV from JAM model. This work can serve as a non-critical baseline for future QCD critical point search in heavy-ion collisions at high baryon density region.

    High precision half-life measurement of Cs and Xe with {\gamma}-spectroscopy

    In order to provide data for the simulation of the astrophysical -process, the cross section measurement of the Xe(p,)Cs reaction is in progress at MTA Atomki using the activation technique. Precise information on the decay characteristics of the reaction products is of crucial importance for measurements carried out using this method. The half-lives of the produced Cs and its daughter Xe are published in previous works, but with large uncertainties and ambiguous values. To make these nuclear parameters more precise, the half-lives have been re-measured with high precision using -spectroscopy. The obtained new half-life values are t = 44.35 0.29 minutes for Cs and t = 16.87 0.08 hours for Xe.

    Production Cross sections of 190-193Au Radioisotopes Produced From 11B+ natW Reactions Upto 63 MeV Projectile Energy

    This paper reports a new route for production of 190-193Au radionuclides from natW target. For the first time the production cross section of 11B induced reactions on tungsten for production of 190-193Au were measured up to 63 MeV boron energy. High cross section was observed for 190,192Au at the highest energy where as 191,193Au showed moderate cross section values. The experimentally obtained cross sections were compared with the predictions of the PACE4 and EMPIRE3.2.2 code.
