    Leading Modes of the 3pi0 production in proton-proton collisions at incident proton momentum 3.35GeV/c

    This work deals with the prompt pp-->pp3pi0 reaction where the 3pi0 do not origin from the decay of narrow resonances like \eta(547), \omega(782), \eta'(958). The reaction was measured for the proton beam momentum of 3.35GeV/c with the WASA-at-COSY detector setup. The dynamics of the reaction is investigated by Dalitz and Nyborg plots studies. The reaction is described by the model assuming simultaneous excitation of two baryon resonances \Delta(1232) and N*(1440) where resonances are identified by their unique decays topology on the missing mass of two protons MMpp dependent Dalitz and Nyborg plots. The ratio R=\Gamma(N*(1440)->N\pi\pi)/\Gamma(N*(1440)->\Delta(1232)\pi->N\pi\pi)= 0.039 +- 0.011(stat.) +- 0.008(sys.) is measured for the first time in a direct way. It shows that the {N*(1440)->\Delta(1232)\pi->N\pi\pi} decay is a leading mode of 3pi0 production. It is also shown that the MMpp is very sensitive to the structure of the spectral line shape of the N*(1440) resonance as well as on the interaction between the \Delta(1232) and N*(1440) resonances. The multipion spectroscopy - a precision tool to directly access the properties of baryon resonances is considered. The pp-->pp\eta(3pi0) reaction was also measured simultaneously. It is shown that the {\eta} production mechanism via N*(1535) is 43.4 +- 0.8(stat.) +- 2.0(sys.) of the total production, for the {\eta} momentum in the CM system q_\eta^CM=0.45-0.7GeV/c. First time momentum dependence of the {\eta} angular distribution is seen, the strongest effect is observed for the cos(\theta_\eta^CM) distribution.

    Consistent threshold pi0 electro-production at Q^2=0.05, 0.10, and 0.15 GeV^2/c^2

    New, accurate data are presented on the near threshold p(e,e'p)pi^0 reaction in the range of four-momentum transfers between Q^2=0.05 and 0.15GeV^2/c^2. The data were taken with the spectrometer setup of the A1 Collaboration at the Mainz Microtron MAMI. The complete center of mass solid angle was covered up to a center of mass energy of 4MeV above threshold. These results supersede the previous analysis based on three separate experiments, and are compared with calculations in Heavy Baryon Chiral Perturbation Theory and with phenomenological models.

    Hydrogen targets for exotic-nuclei studies developed over the past 10 years

    Hydrogen-induced reactions provide essential information on nuclear structure, complementary to other experimental probes. For studies at both low and relativistic incident energy, developments in hydrogen targets have been performed over the past 10 years in parallel with the development of new radioactive beams. We present a review of all major hydrogen target developments related to the study of exotic nuclei with direct reactions in inverse kinematics. Both polarized and non-polarized systems are presented.

    Chiral Magnetic Effect and evolution of electromagnetic field

    The energy dependence of observable two particle correlator in search for the local strong parity violation in Au+Au collisions is estimated within a simple phenomenological model. The model reproduces available RHIC data but at LHC predicts that the Chiral Magnetic effect (CME) will be about 20 times weaker than at RHIC, contrary to the first LHC measurements. In the lower energy range this effect should vanish sharply at energy somewhere above the top SPS one with agreement with the preliminary results of the Beam Energy Scan program. To elucidate CME background effects a transport HSD model including magnetic field evolution is put forward and electromagnetic dynamics at the RHIC energy is investigated. It is observed that the electromagnetic field included into the hadronic model does not influence on observables due to mutual compensation of effects of electric and magnetic fields.

    On high energy exclusive leptoproduction of the rho meson up to twist 3

    The Regge inspired k_T-factorization scheme expresses the scattering amplitude for exclusive leptoproduction of a light vector meson rho in terms of two impact factors, one for the gamma* - rho transition and the other one for the nucleon to nucleon transition, with, at leading order, a two "reggeized" gluon exchange in the t-channel. We report here on a recent phenomenological study where we apply a previously developped scheme which consistently takes into account the twist 3 distribution amplitudes for transversely polarized rho meson. The computation of the gamma* to rho impact factor are performed within collinear factorization of QCD, up to the twist 3 level, based on the Collinear Factorization scheme applied to the amplitudes gamma*g to g rho . Our results are in good agreement with high energy experimental data for the ratios of helicity amplitudes.
