    High Precision Measurement of the Proton Elastic Form Factor Ratio at Low

    Jefferson Lab experiment E08-007 measured the proton elastic form factor ratio in the range of by recoil polarimetry. Data were taken in 2008 at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility in Virginia, USA. A 1.2 GeV polarized electron beam was scattered off a cryogenic hydrogen target. The recoil proton was detected in the left HRS in coincidence with the elasticly scattered electrons tagged by the BigBite spectrometer. The proton polarization was measured by the focal plane polarimeter (FPP). In this low region, previous measurement from Jefferson Lab Hall A (LEDEX) along with various fits and calculations indicate substantial deviations of the ratio from unity. For this new measurement, the proposed statistical uncertainty () was achieved. These new results are a few percent lower than expected from previous world data and fits, which indicate a smaller at this region. Beyond the intrinsic interest in nucleon structure, the new results also have implications in determining the proton Zemach radius and the strangeness form factors from parity violation experiments.

    Notes on New Narrow N*

    We briefly discuss the most recent evidences for narrow nucleon excitation with mass around 1680 MeV. The data show that the N* should have much stronger photocoupling to the neutron than to the proton. That makes it a good candidate for the anti-decuplet member.

    An Alternative View of the Dynamical Origin of the P11 Nucleon Resonances: Results from the Excited Baryon Analysis Center

    We present an alternative interpretation for the dynamical origin of the P11 nucleon resonances, which results from the dynamical coupled-channels analysis at Excited Baryon Analysis Center of Jefferson Lab. The results indicate the crucial role of the multichannel reaction dynamics in determining the N^* spectrum.

    Isospin dependent global neutron-nucleus optical model potential

    In this paper, we construct a new phenomenological isospin dependent global neutron-nucleus optical model potential. Based on the existing experimental data of elastic scattering angular distributions for neutron as projectile, we obtain a set of the isospin dependent global neutron-nucleus optical model potential parameters, which can basically reproduce the experimental data for target nuclei from Mg to Pu with the energy region up to 200 MeV.
