Kaon semileptonic decay form factors in two-flavor QCD

We present a calculation of the kaon form factors in two-flavor QCD with the non-perturbatively -improved Wilson quark action. In order to achieve a few percent accuracy in the study of SU(3) breaking effects, we use a set of double ratios of the matrix elements, with which the bulk of the statistical fluctuation and the multiplicative renormalization factors cancel.

The 3-state Potts model as a heavy quark finite density laboratory

    Seyong Kim🇰🇷 · Ph. de Forcrand🇨🇭 · S. Kratochvila🇨🇭 · T. Takaishi🇯🇵

The 3-D Z(3) Potts model is a model for finite temperature QCD with heavy quarks. The chemical potential in QCD becomes an external magnetic field in the Potts model. Following Alford et al.\cite{Alford_et_al}, we revisit this mapping, and determine the phase diagram for an arbitrary chemical potential, real or imaginary. Analytic continuation of the phase transition line between real and imaginary chemical potential can be tested with precision. Our results show that the chemical potential weakens the heavy-quark deconfinement transition in QCD.

Power Counting Regime of Chiral Extrapolation and Beyond

    Derek B. Leinweber🇦🇺 · Anthony W. Thomas🇺🇸 · Ross D. Young🇺🇸

Finite-range regularised (FRR) chiral effective field theory is presented in the context of approximation schemes ubiquitous in modern lattice QCD calculations. Using FRR techniques, the power-counting regime (PCR) of chiral perturbation theory can be estimated. To fourth-order in the expansion at the 1% tolerance level, we find m_\pi < 180 MeV for the PCR, extending only a small distance beyond the physical pion mass.

Heavy-light mesons with domain wall fermions

    HueyWen Lin (1)🇺🇸 · Shigemi Ohta (2, 3 and 4)🇯🇵 · Norikazu Yamada (2 and 3) (for the RBC Collaboration) ((1) Columbia University, (2) KEK, (3) Sokendai, (4) RBRC)

We present RBC heavy-light meson spectroscopy with quenched DBW2 gauge configurations at lattice cutoff of about 3 GeV. Both heavy and light quarks are described by domain-wall fermions (DWF). The heavy quark mass ranges between 0.1 and 0.4 lattice units, covering charm. The light quark mass ranges between 0.008 and 0.04, covering strange. In particular, we discuss charmed (D and D*) and charm-strange (Ds and DsJ) mesons with spin-parity JP= 0+/- and 1+/-. The preliminary results indicate that DWF describe charm on the quenched DBW2 ensemble at this cutoff. The masses of the JP=0+/- and 1+/- D, D*, Ds and DsJ meson states are well reproduced to within a few %; their parity splitting, DeltaJ, are better reproduced than previous works, with only 10-20 % over estimations; the experimental observation that the splitting for non-strange states is bigger than that for strange states is reproduced as well; but the hyperfine splittings are only 60-65 % reproduced. Regarding the depenence on heavy quark mass, J=0 and J=1 parity splittings are degenerate for heavy quark mass heavier than 0.2-0.3 lattice units a; the J=0 parity splitting increases as the heavy quark mass decreases further while the J=1 splitting does not.

Two loop correction to the Gribov mass gap equation in Landau gauge QCD

    J.A. Gracey🇬🇧

We determine the two loop correction to Gribov's mass gap equation for quantum chromodynamics in the Landau gauge in the MSbar scheme by computing the two loop correction to the horizon condition derived from Zwanziger's local renormalizable Lagrangian which incorporates the Gribov parameter. We verify that with the explicit result, the two loop ghost propagator is enchanced in the infrared.

-dependence of QCD at Finite Isospin Density

    Max A. Metlitski🇨🇦 · Ariel R. Zhitnitsky🇨🇦

We probe the -dependence of QCD at finite isospin chemical potential using the effective chiral Lagrangian approach. The phase diagram in the , plane is constructed and described in detail in terms of chiral and pion condensates. The physics at is investigated in both the normal and superfluid phase. Finally, the behaviour of the gluon condensate at finite is computed.
