Hydrodynamic aspects of relativistic heavy ion collisions at RHIC

Peter F. Kolb🇩🇪

Abstract

The current status of the application of hydrodynamics to ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions is reviewed. We elaborate on the arguments for strong transverse flow and rapid thermalization and discuss future applications and trends in hydrodynamics.
