Abstract
This set of lectures introduces at an elementary level the supersymmetric Standard Model and discusses some of its phenomenological properties. (Lectures given by J. Louis at the summer school ``Grundlagen und neue Methoden der theoretischen Physik'', Saalburg, 1996.)
