Abstract

A model independent, field theoretical relation between baryon magnetic moment and its spin structure is derived and it is explained why constituent quark model is a good approximation in describing baryon magnetic moments.

Comments: 6 pages ReVTeX, replaced with the version submitted to PLB; it is explained more clearly why nonrelativistic constituent quark model is successful in describing baryon magnetic moments
