Is the `Soft Pomeron' Valid for the Description of the Data from HERA?

Abstract

It is established in the paper that experimental data on deeply virtual exclusive electroproduction of ${\rho }^0$- and $\varphi$-mesons may be described fairly well in the framework of a generalized Regge approach without additional, $Q^2$-dependent, singularities in the J-plane.
