Theoretical uncertanties in the determination of ${\alpha }_s$ from hadronic event observables: the impact of nonperturbative effects

Abstract

I review the theoretical status of hadronization corrections to hadronic event observables and discuss their impact on the determination of ${\alpha }_s$.
