VMD description of $\tau \to (\omega ,\varphi ){\pi }^{-}{\nu }_{\tau }$ decays and the $\omega -\varphi$ mixing angle

Abstract

Using the vector meson dominance model we get predictions for the Cabibbo-favored $\text{tom}$ and $\text{tphi}$ decays. We show how the measurements of these two decays can provide information on the nature of the violation of the OZI rule.
