Abstract

The mixing of a new boson with the significantly improves the fit to the LEP precision electroweak data, provided that the couples mainly to quarks. If ~GeV, the -channel production and pair production cross sections at the Tevatron give an excess above QCD of and events, respectively, with invariant mass , which provide viable signals for detection of the . The interference of the with in at LEP\,1.5 energies is correlated with and may be observable.
