QCD PREDICTIONS ON MULTIPARTICLE FINAL STATES

Abstract

We compare QCD predictions with experimental data on inclusive multiparticle observables whereby we discuss various realizations of the idea of parton hadron duality which is related to a soft confinement mechanism. Special emphasis is given on effects from the running ${\alpha }_s$, the soft gluon interference, scaling properties and the role of the limiting scale $Q_0$ in cascade evolution.
