On Test of CPT Symmetry in CP Violating B Decays
Zhi-zhong Xing
Abstract
Considering that the existing experimental limit for violation is still poor, we explore various possible ways to test symmetry in -violating decays at factories and hadron machines. We find that it is difficult to distinguish between the effect of direct violation and that of violation in the time-integrated measurements of neutral decays to eigenstates such as and . Instead, a cleaner signal of small violation may appear in the time-integrated asymmetries for a few non--eigenstate channels, e.g., and . The time-dependent measurements of asymmetries are available, in principle, to limit the size of -violating effects in neutral -meson decays.
