Rapidity Gap in Jet Events at Lep200

Abstract

We analyze various perturbative mechanisms for the production of jet events containing rapidity gaps in $e^{+}{e}^{-}$ annihilation at LEP200 energies. We found that the processes $e^{+}{e}^{-}\to {\gamma }^{\ast }{\gamma }^{\ast },{\gamma }^{\ast }Z,ZZ,WW\to 4jets$ generate gap events at an observable rate. We point out that LEP200 offers a unique opportunity for the study of gap events due to a smaller background of ``fake-gaps".
