Angular distribution analysis of $B\to J/\psi K^{\ast }$ and resolving discrete ambiguities in the determination of ${\varphi }_1$

Abstract

We discuss the angular distribution analysis of $B\to J/\psi K^{\ast }$ decays and a way to resolve discrete ambiguites in the determination of the unitary triangle ${\varphi }_1(=\beta )$. We study the status of factorization hypothesis in the color-suppressed B meson decays: $B\to J/\psi K^{(\ast )}$ within the general factorization approach and QCD-factorization method.
