Abstract
We present the determination of the light quark masses using electromagnetic splittings of pions and kaons. The meson masses are calculated on gauge configurations, where SU(3) gauge fields include sea quark effects of two degenerate flavors and the U(1) gauge fields are incorporated in non-compact form. Possible sources of systematic uncertainty are discussed.
