On vacua and bounded masses in the general 2HDM

Abstract
Two Higgs doublets models with a scalar potential that breaks electroweak symmetry spontaneously can have either one or two local minima. While potentials with one minimum can have a decoupling regime where all the new scalars are heavy, we show that, for potentials with local minima, the masses of all the scalars are bounded if the dimensionless quartic couplings obey perturbativity constraints.
