violation in singly Cabibbo suppressed decays

Abstract
The singly Cabibbo suppressed (SCS) decays , with , have been measured with the branching-fraction ratios and , deviating significantly from the short-distance expectations . This discrepancy indicates the necessity of long-distance rescattering effects. In particular, the process generates comparable in magnitude to in the amplitude , with , accompanied by nontrivial strong phases essential for violation. Consequently, the direct asymmetries naturally arise at the level, for example, , , and . These results establish SCS decays as a new avenue for probing violation.
