Investigating spectroscopy in two-body decays

Abstract
We investigate the -, -, -, and -wave spectroscopy through the non-leptonic decays of baryon within the constituent quark model. For the lowest-lying -wave state, we obtain the branching fractions , which are consistent with existing model predictions. For , , , and , observed in the proton-proton and collisions and interpreted as members of the -wave multiplet (collectively denoted as ), we predict the branching fractions of at the level of . Assigning the newly observed baryon to a -wave excitation with or , we obtain or , respectively. The pronounced differences between these two scenarios provide a clear discriminant that can be tested in future measurements at LHCb.
