Abstract
We introduce an anomaly-based framework to probe quark electric dipole moments in exclusive hadronic final states produced in annihilation. Chern-Simons-induced anomalous couplings yield a clean T-odd asymmetry from interference between the Standard-Model amplitude and dipole-moment contributions. As an application, provides direct sensitivity to the strange-quark EDM in the chiral limit. The precision on can reach with existing CMD--3 data and using current samples at BESIII, improving the current direct constraint from hyperon EDM by two to three orders.
