Abstract
Inspired by the significant virtual contributions of the subprocesses and in the three-body hadronic meson decays, we study the off-shell effects of the resonance decaying into the or system in the decays and (with ) within the perturbative QCD approach. The strong coupling constants and involved in this work are derived from the coupling constant under the flavor SU symmetry. The averaged branching fractions for the quasi-two-body decays and are predicted to be on the order of to in this study. And the branching fractions for the decays are found to be around half of the corresponding results for the channels, mainly due to the phase space difference between the and pairs originating from the intermediate state . Experimental data for the decaying into the final states and in the meson decays is expected to be obtained by the LHCb and Belle-II experiments in the near future.
