Thermal hadron resonances and Ward identities: results for the QCD phase diagram

Abstract
We review recent work regarding the role of light scalar resonances at finite temperature for chiral symmetry and restoration. The results obtained are based on unitarized Chiral Perturbation Theory and Ward Identities and are directly connected with presently open problems within the QCD phase diagram
