Abstract

We consider the implication of the recent measurement of the W-boson mass [Science 376, 170 (2022)] for atomic parity violation experiments. We show that the change in shifts the Standard Model prediction for the Cs nuclear weak charge to , i.e. by from its current value. This brings existing experimental result for into an essential agreement with the Standard Model. Using our revised value for , we readjust constraints on physics beyond the Standard Model.
