Understanding the newly observed states through their decays

Abstract

Inspired by the newly observed states by the LHCb Collaboration, we investigate the OZI-allowed two-body strong decays of the -mode wave states within the chiral quark model. Our results indicate that: (i) the newly observed states and are good candidates of the -mode wave states with the spin-parity , namely and , respectively. (ii) The another newly observed state mostly corresponds to the -mode -wave state with the spin-parity , namely . (iii) For the two -mode mixed states, the is a narrow state with a width of MeV and mainly decays into ; while the state has a width of MeV and dominantly decays into and channels. If the broad structure around MeV observed at LHCb arises from the new state, this state is very likely to be the state.
