Tachyons as Dark Energy Quanta

Abstract

I discuss the possibility that dark energy is a scalar field whose quanta are extremely light and very weakly interacting superluminal particles, i.e. tachyons, with purely imaginary mass $m=i\Gamma$ with $\Gamma$ real.
