First observation of and search for exotic baryons in systems

Abstract
The process and its intermediate processes are measured for the first time using a 980~fb data sample collected with the Belle detector at the KEKB asymmetric-energy collider. The production of and a signal in the ~() invariant mass spectrum are clearly observed. However, no evidence for an exotic baryon near 1540~MeV/, denoted as ~() or ~(), is seen in the ~() or ~() invariant mass spectra. Cross sections for , and the products and are measured. We also determine upper limits on the products of the and two-photon decay widths and their branching fractions to at the 90\% credibility level.
