Effect of scalar leptoquarks on the rare decays of B_s meson

Abstract

We study the effect of scalar leptoquarks on some rare decays of $B_s$ mesons involving the quark level transition $b\to s$ $l^{+}{l}^{-}.$ In particular we consider the decays $B_s\to {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$, ${\bar{B}}_d^0\to X_s{\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ and $B_s\to \varphi$ ${\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$. The leptoquark parameter space is constrained using the recently measured branching ratio of the $B_s\to {\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ process at LHCb and CMS experiments. Using such parameters we obtain the branching ratio, forward backward asymmetry and the CP asymmetry parameters in the angular distribution of $B_s\to \varphi$ ${\mu }^{+}{\mu }^{-}$ process.
