A study on central diffractive f_0(980) and f_2(1270) meson production at the LHC
Abstract
In this contribution we report on the investigation of central diffractive production of mesons and at the energy of Large Hadron Collider in proton-proton collisions. The cross sections and rapidity distributions for these low-lying mesons are analyzed. The Pomeron-Pomeron process was considered relying on a nonperturbative Pomeron model which is justified by the low mass of considered resonances. The associated theoretical uncertainties are discussed.
