RGE and the Fine-Tuning Problem

Abstract

In this MSc thesis RGE for general gauge theory with scalars and fermions and the fine-tuning problem are studied. The results are applied to the Standard Model and Standard Model extension with additional singlet scalar field. The correlation between the Higgs mass and the scale at which new physics is expected to occur is studied based on a fine-tuning arguments, such as the Veltman condition.
