Charmed Baryon Spectroscopy from Lattice QCD with $N_{f} = 2 + 1 + 1$ flavors

Abstract

We present preliminary results of the calculation of the positive-parity ground state charm baryon spectrum using of N_f=2+1+1 $d y nami c a l q u a r k s . T h ec a l c u l a t i o n u ses a r e l a t i v i s t i c h e a v y - q u a r k a c t i o n f or t h e v a l e n cec ha r m q u a r k, c l o v er - W i l so n f er mi o n s f or t h e v a l e n ce l i g h tq u a r k s an d H I S Q se a q u a r k s . T h es p ec t r u mi sc a l c u l a t e d w i t ha l i g h t es tp i o nma ss a r o u n d 220 M e V an d tw o l a tt i ces p a c in g s ($ a\sim0.12 $f man d 0.09 f m) a r e u se d t oe x t r a p o l a t e t oco n t in uu m l imi t . O u r p r e l imina r y r es u l t s a r eco n s i s t e n tw i t h t h ec u r r e n tl y m e a s u r e d ba r y o n s p ec t r u m, e x ce pt f or t h e i sos p in - a v er a g e d$ J=1/2\Xi_{cc} $w hi c hi s a pp r o x ima t e l y$ 2 \sigma $ab o v e t h e S E L E X o b ser v e d v a l u e . W e p r e d i c tt h ey e t - t o - b e - d i sco v er e dd o u b l e an d t r i pl e - c ha r mba r y o n s$ \Xi_{cc}^* $,$ \Omega_{cc} $,$ \Omega_{cc}^* $,$ \Omega_{ccc}$ to have masses 3665(42)(29) MeV, 3694(40)(45) MeV, 3739(35)(21) MeV and 4782(24)(28) MeV, respectively.
