Analysis of mass modifications of the vector and axial-vector heavy mesons in the nuclear matter with the QCD sum rules

Abstract

In this article, we calculate the mass modifications of the vector and axial-vector mesons $D^{\ast }$, $B^{\ast }$, $D_1$ and $B_1$ in the nuclear matter with the QCD sum rules, and obtain the mass-shifts $\delta M_{D^{\ast }}=-71\mathrm{MeV}$, $\delta M_{B^{\ast }}=-380\mathrm{MeV}$, $\delta M_{D_1}=72\mathrm{MeV}$, $\delta M_{B_1}=264\mathrm{MeV}$, and the scattering lengths $a_{D^{\ast }}=-1.07\mathrm{fm}$, $a_{B^{\ast }}=-7.17\mathrm{fm}$, $a_{D_1}=1.15\mathrm{fm}$ and $a_{B_1}=5.03\mathrm{fm}$ for the $D^{\ast }N$, $B^{\ast }N$, $D_{1}N$ and $B_{1}N$ interactions, respectively.
