Effect of $\eta$--${\eta }^{\prime }$ mixing on $D\to PV$ decays

Abstract

Charmed meson decays to a light pseudoscalar ($P$) and light vector ($V$) meson are analyzed taking account of $\eta$--${\eta }^{\prime }$ mixing. A frequently-used octet-singlet mixing angle of $19.5^{\circ }$ is compared with a value of $11.7^{\circ }$ favored by a recent analysis of $D\to PP$ decays.
