Abstract

Possible assignments of and in the conventional quark model are analyzed. The study indicates that both the orbitally excited and the radially excited are possible. Some implications to these assignments are explored. If and are the orbitally excited D-wave and , respectively, another orbitally excited D-wave , , is expected. If and are the first radially excited and , respectively, other two radially excited and are expected. and are mixing states. The chiral doubling relation may exist in radially excited , the splitting between the parity partners(the and the ) is MeV.
