    Proto-strange quark stars from density-dependent quark mass model

    In this paper, we investigate the evolution of strange quark stars (SQS) from birth as proto-strange quark stars to maturity as stable SQSs at a zero temperature. We assume that self-bound free quarks form {entirely the compact} star and study its evolution {through a series of snapshots} using a density-dependent quark mass model. We consider -equilibrated stellar matter at two major stages of the star's evolution: neutrino trapped regime and neutrino transparent regime during the deleptonization and cooling processes of the star. We fix the entropy density per baryon and the lepton fraction to investigate the nuclear equation of state (EoS), particle distribution, temperature profile inside the star, sound velocity, polytropic index, and the structure of the star. Our results show that stars with higher neutrino concentrations are slightly more massive than the neutrino-poor ones along the evolution lines of the SQS. We obtain EoSs in agreement with the conformal boundary set through sound velocity, and also the 2 M mass constraint for NSs was satisfied at all stages of the star's evolution.

    Double spin correlations in the reaction dd->pnpn and in the pn-elastic scattering

    An unexpectedly large double spin correlation with a sharp dependence on energy, found in elastic proton-proton scattering at large angles in the c.m.s. energy range GeV, may be associated with the formation of exotic eight-quark resonances at the thresholds of the strangeness and charm production. For a deeper understanding of the dynamics of this process it is important to measure double spin correlation in elastic scattering in the same kinematics. The possibility of obtaining this data from the reaction with two polarized deuterons on NICA SPD is considered in this paper.

    Novel Cross Section Ratios as Possible Signals of Saturation in UPCs

    We propose new cross section ratios in ultra-peripheral AA and A collisions (UPCs) as a potential experimental signal of saturation physics. We consider the ratio of elastic vector meson photoproduction cross section to the inclusive hadron or jet photoproduction cross section. The ratio can be measured in the A and collisions taking place in the UPCs. We label the ratios and , respectively. Constructing the double ratio , and performing a small- calculation both in the quasi-classical approximation and by including small- evolution, we observe that exhibits a markedly different dependence on the nuclear atomic number inside and outside the saturation region. This result indicates that and measurements in UPCs may help in the experimental searches for the evidence of saturation physics.
