    Electron wave functions in beta-decay formulas revisited (II): Completion including recoil-order and induced currents

    We present complete formulas of the allowed and first-forbidden transitions of the nuclear beta decay taking into account the recoil-order and induced currents up to the next-to-leading order (NLO). The longitudinal part of the vector current is cleared away by the use of the conservation of the vector current for the multipole operators of the natural-parity transitions, which makes the effect of the meson exchange current for the vector current as small as possible. The formula is transparent enough to be applied to various beta-decay processes. As a numerical demonstration, we apply our formulas to the beta decay of a neutron-rich nucleus Sn. We find that the NLO corrections amount to 10--20\% of the total decay rate, whereas the induced currents alter the rate at most 5\%.

    Substructures of heavy flavor jets in and PbPb collisions at = 5.02 TeV

    Groomed jet substructure measurements, the momentum splitting fraction and the groomed jet radius , of inclusive, D-tagged and B-tagged jets in and central PbPb collisions at TeV are predicted and investigated. Charged jets are constrained in a relatively low transverse momentum interval 15 30 GeV/ where the QCD emissions are sensitive to mass effects. In collisions, heavy flavor jets have less momentum-balanced splittings than inclusive jets and the larger quark mass is, the less momentum-balanced splittings are. B-tagged jets distribute at lager than both D-tagged and inclusive jets, while D-tagged jets distribute at smaller than inclusive jets. That can be explained by the competition between parton mass effects and flavour effects on splitting-angle distributions. In + collisions, jet quenching effects further suppress the momentum-balanced splittings and enhance the large-angle splittings. Heavy flavor jets suffer more and less modifications due to jet-medium interactions. The mass hierarchy in of inclusive, D-tagged, B-tagged jets and competition between mass effects and Casimir colour factors in can also be observed in PbPb collisions.
