    Production cross sections for exotic nuclei with multinucleon transfer reactions

    The main progresses in the multinucleon transfer reactions at energies close to the Coulomb barrier are reviewed. After a short presentation of the experimental progress and theoretical progress,the predicted production cross sections for unknown neutron-rich heavy nuclei and the trans-uranium nuclei are presented.

    Momentum distributions and short-range correlations in the deuteron and He with modern chiral potentials

    We study momentum distributions and short-range correlation probabilities in =2 and =3 systems. First, we show results with phenomenological and meson-theoretic two- and three-nucleon forces to verify consistency with previous similar studies. We then apply most recent high-quality chiral nucleon-nucleon potentials up to fifth order in the chiral expansion together with the leading chiral three-nucleon force. Predictions are examined in the context of a broader discussion of short-range correlation probabilities extracted from analyses of inclusive electron scattering data, addressing the question of whether modern interactions can be reconciled with the latter.

    Non-Symmetrized Hyperspherical Harmonics Method for Non-Equal Mass Three-Body Systems

    The non-symmetrized hyperspherical harmonics method for a three-body system, composed by two particles having equal masses, but different from the mass of the third particle, is reviewed and applied to the H, He nuclei and H hyper-nucleus, seen respectively as , and three-body systems. The convergence of the method is first tested in order to estimate its accuracy. Then, the difference of binding energy between H and He due to the difference of the proton and the neutron masses is studied using several central spin-independent and spin-dependent potentials. Finally, the H hypernucleus binding energy is calculated using different and potential models. The results have been compared with those present in the literature, finding a very nice agreement.

    Elimination of spurious modes within QRPA

    We suggest a generalized method for elimination of spurious admixtures (SA) from intrinsic nuclear excitations described within the Quasiparticle-Random-Phase-Approximation (QRPA). Various kinds of SA-corrections are treated at the same theoretical ground. The known corrections are well reproduced. As relevant cases, we consider subtraction of SA related with i) violation of the translational invariance (isovector E1 and isoscalar toroidal and compression E1 modes), ii) pairing-induced non-conservation of the particle number (E2(K=0) and E0 modes), and iii) rotational invariance (E2(K=1) and M1(K=1) modes). The SA subtraction can be done at the level of QRPA states, electromagnetic responses, and even transition operators. The additional deformation-induced corrections are proposed. The accuracy of the method is demonstrated by Skyrme QRPA calculations for axially-deformed Sm.

    Multiplicative renormalizability of quasi-parton operators

    Extracting parton distribution functions (PDFs) from lattice QCD calculation of quasi-PDFs has been actively pursued in recent years. We extend our proof of the multiplicative renormalizability of quasi-quark operators in Ref. [1] to quasi-gluon operators, and demonstrated that quasi-gluon operators could be multiplicatively renormalized to all orders in perturbation theory, without mixing with other operators. We find that using a gauge-invariant UV regulator is essential for achieving this proof. With the multiplicative renormalizability of both quasi-quark and quasi-gluon operators, and QCD collinear factorization of hadronic matrix elements of there operators into PDFs, extracting PDFs from lattice QCD calculated hadronic matrix elements of quasi-parton operators could have a solid theoretical foundation.

    Regge phenomenology of the and poles

    We use Regge phenomenology to study the structure of the poles of the and spectrum. We employ the available pole extractions from partial wave analysis of meson scattering and photoproduction data. We assess the importance of the imaginary part of the poles (widths) to obtain a consistent determination of the parameters of the Regge trajectory. We compare the several pole extractions and show how Regge phenomenology can be used to gain insight in the internal structure of baryons. We find that the majority of the states in the parent Regge trajectories are compatible with a mostly compact three-quark state picture.

    QCD at high density: Equation of state for nuclear collisions and neutron stars

    A unified chiral mean field approach is presented for QCD thermodynamics in a wide range of temperatures and densities. The model simultaneously gives a satisfactory description of lattice QCD thermodynamics and fulfills nuclear matter and astrophysical constraints. The resulting equation of state can be incorporated in relativistic fluid-dynamical simulations of heavy-ion collisions and neutron stars mergers. Access to different regions of the QCD phase diagram can be obtained in simulations of heavy-ion data and observations of neutron star mergers.
