The 1-loop correction of the QCD energy momentum tensor with the overlap fermion and HYP smeared Iwasaki gluon

We present the 1-loop renormalization of the energy momentum tensor using the overlap fermion and a HYP-smeared Iwasaki gauge action. We also calculate the 1-loop matching coefficient that convert the lattice simulation results renormalized in the RI/MOM scheme to the $MS$ scheme. The dependence of the renormalization on the gauge action and the number of HYP smearing steps are also investigated.

Probing cold nuclear matter effects with weak gauge boson production in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions

Within the framework of pQCD, we systematically study the $W^{\pm} / Z^{0}$ boson production as a probe of cold nuclear matter effects and nuclear parton distributions in p+Pb and Pb+Pb collisions at the LHC and future colliders. A detailed analysis at partonic level is performed. Moreover, with a semi-microscopic KP model of NPDFs, in which several nuclear effects (e.g. Fermi motion and nuclear binding, the off-shell correction, the nuclear coherent correction, and the nuclear meson correction) are included, we study the vector boson rapidity distribution in p+Pb collisions at the LHC, and a very good agreement with the latest data is found, including the $W$ -boson charge asymmetry.

Spectral properties of $ρ$ meson in a magnetic field

We calculate the rho meson mass in a weak magnetic field using effective $ρ π π$ interaction. It is seen that both $ρ^{0}$ and $ρ^{\pm}$ masses decrease with the magnetic field in vacuum. $ρ$ meson dispersion relation has been calculated and shown to be different for $ρ^{0}$ and $ρ^{\pm}$ . We also calculate the $ρ π π$ decay width and spectral functions of $ρ^{0}$ and $ρ^{\pm}$ . The width is seen to decrease with $e B$ and the spectral functions become narrower.

Improved WKB approximation for quantum tunneling: Application to heavy ion fusion

In this paper we revisit the one-dimensional tunneling problem. We consider Kemble's approximation for the transmission coefficient. We show how this approximation can be extended to above-barrier energies by performing the analytical continuation of the radial coordinate to the complex plane. We investigate the validity of this approximation by comparing their predictions for the cross section and for the barrier distribution with the corresponding quantum mechanical results. We find that the extended Kemble's approximation reproduces the results of quantum mechanics with great accuracy.

Surface energy coefficient determination in global mass formula from fission barrier energy

Semi-empirical mass formula of the atomic nucleus describe binding energies of the nuclei. In the simple form of this formula, there are five terms related to the properties of the nuclear structure. The coefficients in each terms can be determined by various approach such as fitting on experimental binding energy values. In this study, the surface energy coefficient in the formula which is a correction on total binding energy has been obtained by a method that is not previously described in the literature. The experimental fission barrier energies of nuclei have been used for this task. According to the results, surface energy coefficient in one of the most conventional formula has been improved by a factor 3.4.

Polarized $^{3}$ He target and final state interactions in SiDIS

Jefferson Lab (JLab) is starting a wide experimental program aimed at studying the neutron's structure, with a great emphasis on the extraction of the parton transverse-momentum distributions (TMDs). To this end, Semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering (SiDIS) experiments on polarized $^{3}$ He will be carried out, providing, together with proton and deuteron data, a sound flavor decomposition of the TMDs. Given the expected high statistical accuracy, it is crucial to disentangle nuclear and partonic degrees of freedom to get an accurate theoretical description of both initial and final states. In this contribution, a preliminary study of the Final State Interaction (FSI) in the standard SiDIS, where a pion (or a Kaon) is detected in the final state is presented, in view of constructing a realistic description of the nuclear initial and final states.

Determination of energy of nn-singlet virtual state in d+2H->p+p+n+n reaction

The nn final state interaction has been investigated in d+2H->(pp)S+(nn)S->p+p+n+n reaction going through a formation and breakup of singlet diproton and dineutron in the intermediate state. In the kinematically complete experiment performed at Ed =15 MeV two proton and neutron were detected at angles close to those of emission of (pp)S and (nn)S systems. Simulation of the reaction showed that the shape of neutron energy (timing) spectrum depends on epsnn - the energy of virtual 1S0 state of nn-system. The most likely value epsnn = 0.076 +/- 0.006 MeV was obtained by fitting procedure using the experimental data and simulations. This low value of epsnn evidently indicates on effective enhancement of nn-interaction in the intermediate state of studied reaction
