Pairing in fission: Mean-field and collective inertias study

A. Zdeb · M. Warda · L. M. Robledo · S. A. Giuliani

Abstract

Pairing plays a crucial role in the microscopic description of nuclear fission. Microscopic methods provide access to three quantities related to pairing, namely, the pairing gap (), the particle number fluctuations (), and the quenching factor (QF). The aim of this work is to analyse the impact of each of these quantities on the static description of the fission process.
