Light $\Lambda$ hypernuclei studied with chiral hyperon-nucleon and hyperon-nucleon-nucleon forces

Abstract

A study of light $\Lambda$ hypernuclei in chiral effective field theory is presented. For the first time chiral $\Lambda$NN and $\Sigma$NN three-body forces are included consistently. The calculations are performed within the no-core shell model. Results for the separation energies of the hypernuclei ${}_{\Lambda }^3\mathrm{H}$, ${}_{\Lambda }^4\mathrm{H}$/${}_{\Lambda }^4\mathrm{He}$, ${}_{\Lambda }^5\mathrm{He}$, and ${}_{\Lambda }^7\mathrm{Li}$ are given. It is found that the experimental values can be fairly well reproduced once YNN three-body forces are taken into account.
