    Acoplanarity of Lepton Pair to Probe the Electromagnetic Property of Quark Matter

    We investigate the -broadening effects in dilepton production through photon-photon scattering in heavy ion collisions. The QED multiple interaction effects with the medium is found to be consistent with a recent observation of low transverse momentum lepton pair from ATLAS collaboration at the LHC. We further comment on the magnetic effects and point out a number of ways to disentangle these two mechanisms. In particular, the rapidity dependence of the -broadening effects provide a unique probe to the magnetic effects.

    Magneto-Transport in a Chiral Fluid from Kinetic Theory

    We argue that in order to study the magneto-transport in a relativistic Weyl fluid, it is needed to take into account the associated quantum corrections, namely the side-jump effect, at least to second order. To this end, we impose Lorentz invariance to a system of free Weyl fermions in the presence of the magnetic field and find the second order correction to the energy dispersion. By developing a scheme to compute the integrals in the phase space, we show that the mentioned correction has non-trivial effects on the thermodynamics of the system. Specifically, we predict the form of the negative magnetoresistance in the system from the enthalpy density in equilibrium. Then in analogy with Weyl semimetal, in the framework of the chiral kinetic theory and under the relaxation time approximation, we explicitly compute the magneto-conductivities, at low temperature limit (). We show that the conductivities obey the set of Ward identities which follow from the generating functional including the Chern-Simons part.

    photoproduction and nucleon resonances

    We present results of a recent work on the reaction mechanism of photoproduction off the neutron in the range of GeV and discuss the role of various nucleon resonances listed in the Particle Data Group (PDG). We make use of an effective Lagrangian approach combining with a Regge method. The total and helicity-dependent cross sections are computed and the numerical results are in good agreement with the A2 experimental data.

    Hagedorn bag-like model with a crossover transition meets lattice QCD

    Thermodynamic functions, the (higher-order) fluctuations and correlations of conserved charges at , and the Fourier coefficients of net-baryon density at imaginary , are considered in the framework of a Hagedorn bag-like model with a crossover transition. The qualitative behavior of these observables is found to be compatible with lattice QCD results. Fair quantitative description of the lattice data is obtained when quasiparticle-type quarks and gluons with non-zero masses are introduced into the bag spectrum. The equation of state of the model exhibits a smooth and wide crossover transition.
