Production mechanism of neutron-rich nuclei around in multi-nucleon transfer reaction Sn + Pb

    Xiang Jiang · Nan Wang

Time-dependent Hartree-Fock approach in three dimensions is employed to study the multi-nucleon transfer reaction Sn + Pb at various incident energies above the Coulomb barrier. Probabilities for different transfer channels are calculated by using particle-number projection method. The results indicate that neutron stripping (transfer from the projectile to the target) and proton pick-up (transfer from the target to the projectile) are favored. Deexcitation of the primary fragments are treated by using the state-of-art statistical code GEMINI++. Primary and final production cross sections of the target-like fragments (with to ) are investigated. The results reveal that fission decay of heavy nuclei plays an important role in the deexcitation process of nuclei with . It is also found that the final production cross sections of neutron-rich (deficient) nuclei slightly (strongly) depend on the incident energy.

Analysis of the MINERvA antineutrino double-differential cross sections within the SuSAv2 model including meson-exchange currents

    G. D. Megias🇪🇸 · M. B. Barbaro🇮🇹 · J. A. Caballero🇪🇸 · S. Dolan🇫🇷

We compare the results of the SuSAv2 model including meson-exchange currents (MEC) with the recent measurement of the quasielastic-like double differential antineutrino cross section on hydrocarbon (CH) performed by the MINERvA Collaboration. The relativistic nature of the model makes it suitable to describe these data, which correspond to a mean beam energy of 3.5 GeV. The standard SuSAv2 model predictions agree well with the data without needing any additional or tuned parameter. The role of longitudinal MEC is non-negligible and improves the agreement with the data. We also consider the impact of different treatments of the -resonance propagator in the two-body currents on the data comparison.
