States of with within the Fixed Center Approximation to the Faddeev equations

    M. Bayar🇹🇷 · Xiu-Lei Ren🇨🇳 · E. Oset🇪🇸

We study the interaction of the a and , with spins aligned using the Fixed Center Approximation to the Faddeev equations. We select a cluster of , which is found to be bound in and can be associated to the X(3915), and let the meson orbit around the and . In this case we find an state with mass around 4340 MeV and narrow width of about 50 MeV. We also investigate the case with a cluster of and let the orbit around the system of the two states. The cluster is also found to bind and leads to the state. The addition of the extra produces further binding and we find, with admitted uncertainties, a state of around 4000 MeV, and a less bound narrow state with around 4200 MeV.

Hadron Wavefunctions as a Probe of a Two Color Baryonic Medium

    Alessandro Amato🇬🇧 · Pietro Giudice🇩🇪 · Simon Hands🇬🇧

The properties of the ground state of two-color QCD at non-zero baryon chemical potential present an interesting problem in strongly-interacting gauge theory; in particular the nature of the physically-relevant degrees of freedom in the superfluid phase in the post-onset regime still needs clarification. In this study we present evidence for in-medium effects at high by studying the wavefunctions of mesonic and diquark states using orthodox lattice simulation techniques, made possible by the absence of a Sign Problem for the model with . Our results show that beyond onset the spatial extent of hadrons decreases as grows, and that the wavefunction profiles are consistent with the existence of a dynamically-gapped Fermi surface in this regime.

Fluctuations of Conserved Quantities in High Energy Nuclear Collisions at RHIC

    Xiaofeng Luo🇨🇳

Fluctuations of conserved quantities in heavy-ion collisions are used to probe the phase transition and the QCD critical point for the strongly interacting hot and dense nuclear matter. The STAR experiment has carried out moment analysis of net-proton (proxy for net-baryon (B)), net-kaon (proxy for net-strangeness (S)), and net-charge (Q). These measurements are important for understanding the quantum chromodynamics phase diagram. We present the analysis techniques used in the moment analysis by the STAR experiment and discuss the moments of net-proton and net-charge distributions from the first phase of the Beam Energy Scan program at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider.

Ultraviolet energy dependence of particle production sources in relativistic heavy-ion collisions

    Georg Wolschin🇩🇪

The energy dependence of particle production sources in relativistic heavy-ion collisions is investigated from RHIC to LHC energies. Whereas charged-hadron production in the fragmentation sources follows a ln(s_NN/s_0) law, particle production in the mid-rapidity gluon-gluon source exhibits a much stronger dependence proportional to ln^3(s_NN/s_0), and becomes dominant between RHIC and LHC energies. The production of particles with pseudorapidities beyond the beam rapidity is also discussed.

Classical Gluon Production Amplitude for Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions: First Saturation Correction in the Projectile

    Giovanni A. Chirilli🇺🇸 · Yuri V. Kovchegov🇺🇸 · Douglas E. Wertepny🇺🇸

We calculate the classical single-gluon production amplitude in nucleus-nucleus collisions including the first saturation correction in one of the nuclei (the projectile) while keeping multiple-rescattering (saturation) corrections to all orders in the other nucleus (the target). In our approximation only two nucleons interact in the projectile nucleus: the single-gluon production amplitude we calculate is order-g^3 and is leading-order in the atomic number of the projectile, while resumming all order-one saturation corrections in the target nucleus. Our result is the first step towards obtaining an analytic expression for the first projectile saturation correction to the gluon production cross section in nucleus-nucleus collisions.
